What is Photophoria.net:
Photophoria.net is a centralized web site for photographers and models designed to provide registered members the possibility to build a portfolio by controlled and monitored photo shoots. Photophoria.net is made by volunteers who have only one thing in mind: To have educating fun
Who is Photophoria.net:
Photophoria.net is based in the Netherlands. We the crew have tried to assemble a balanced group that will run the site.
Why Photophoria.net:
The original plan to start photophoria.net was initiated to provide a much-needed trustworthy professional relation between models and photographers with respect to photo shoots (small and big). Photophoria.net is different is such a way that it is non-commercial and an invite-only community
- A place where you can register as a model or photographer (or both).
- A place where you can browse the various portfolios of models and photographers, where you can look at photos and create or manage your own portfolio.
- A place where you can host your photos for your own website or various platforms on the internet and create albums from photophoria.net photo shoots behind a secure link if needed.
- A place where you can share your experiences with photo shoots, and provide feedback to other members and evaluate the photo shoot and respective photographer or model.
- A place where you can communicate on a forum to talk about modelling, photography, where you can make appointments or organize meetings, basically everything that is covered by photography.
How does photophoria.net work:
The concept is simple. A model of photographer can only become a member when invited by the photophoria.net crew.
The invitation is based on a number of criteria. The invitee must be known by (one or more) of the crew, must be 18 years old and there must be an intention of the invitee to actively participate (for one-off photo shoots separate directions are applicable)
What more does Photophoria.net do:
A few times a year a general photophoria.net meet will be organized for all members
An advisory board for photographers and models (e.g. personal questions about styling or expectations of photo shoots)
A number of confidants that can assist you when you have a problem or other issues that you want to privately discuss.
Registration with Photophoria.net:
After the invitation by the photophoria.net crew, the invitee can register a username and password via e-mail after which the registration can start.
At registration the following needs to be provided:
Name
User name
Personal details (optionally available)
E-mail address
Postal address (not publicly available)
Telephone number (not publicly available)
Copy ID (not publicly available)
Confirmation of code of conduct (see Addendum)
What do we expect from members:
Photophoria.net is a Dutch based community that tries to create a professional way of model photography in a non-commercial environment. There will always be rules and those need to be adhered both within photophoria.net and at photo shoots. Appointments between models and photographers will be known to the photophoria.net crew and will take place based on model contracts (either master agreement or between 2 people). Photophoria.net offers various concept contracts that are drawn up according to general rules.
